What’s your jean scene?

May 13th, 2012

This weeks Grazia featured a jean’s special, proving that denim is far from off the radar when it comes to keeping on trend! From new silhouttes to the latest washes, the hottest styles, shapes and trends were covered. Right now, it’s all about the jeans!

“Colourful jeans went up an octave this season, with highlighter shades storming the shops. A jean that will shoot you straight from fashion to ‘cooldom’, the trick  is to tone them down with a simple tee or loose-fit shirt and block heels” – Grazia

Good job we at Jeanography have the fluoro look covered with Joe’s Jeans then Grazia??

The rule book of summer style could not be simpler to follow. Denim rules all as the ultimate piece for sunny days. Clash your prints, layer your pastels, mix your metallics. From candy stripe and a ditzy crop top to a crochet knit with dip dye effects, all that was seen on the fashion pack at uber cool music festival Coachella over the weekend was denim.

Pastel Perfect Lily Pad

Pastel Perfect in Joe’s Jeans

February 22nd, 2012

If pastel shades remind you of weddings and the Easter bunny then think again! Pastel shades will be one of the biggest trends for Spring/Summer 2012 so it’s time to get your head around how to make this trend work. The best way to wear this trend is to stay away from the sickly-sweet colours normally associated with pastels, and instead go for lighter hues of more unusual colours, such as those seen on the catwalk at  Dolce & Gabbana, Miu Miu, Dior, Marc Jacobs and Christopher Kane. Wearing pastel shades doesn’t have to mean frilly, pretty ruffles and ribbons. The best way to do this trend justice is to look for items in pastel shades that are offset by edgier shapes and fabrics. Or for a quick and easy nod to the trend match your pastels with darker shades of the same colour.

This season’s collection from Joe’s features a kaleidoscopic array of beautiful washed out pastel colours. Shark (I know, not very pastel sounding) are a lovely shade of dusky pink, while the more appropriately named Lily Pad remind you of Monet’s Water Lily paintings. Both are super-on-trend for Spring, so do away with your dull winter jeans and open your eyes to these new must-haves!
